Being an anti LIV guy I applaud Parsons for this. 👏 LIV has to make some big changes to compete with the PGA Tour.

I don’t care how much talent you have on paper. No exhibition tour can compete with the PGA Tour and real competition.

It’s like having A list actors taking the big bucks, but being in shitty movies. Nobody cares.

Sneakylong The movie is crappy because you decided it was, before you even saw it.

Let's take your argument to its logical conclusion. What if every single one of the top 80 players in the world went to an alternate tour, leaving only a bunch of unknowns on the PGA tour. Would the PGA still be more interesting? What if the alternate tour expanded and took every single one of the top 200 players in the world, leaving a bunch of also-rans on the PGA tour. Would the PGA tour still be more interesting? If so, why? Because they are playing 72 holes? Because they play tournaments with names you recognize?

The answer is that the new tour would be better, amd the PGA would be worse, because it is neither the name of a tournament nor its number of rounds that decides whether it is interesting. It is the quality of play and the competition.

You decided you didn't like it because of how it was funded, and that's fine; that's your prerogative. But at least be honest about it.

rsvman2 tournaments with names you recognize?

And how many of those recognizable names do business in/with Saudi Arabia? Thus, some of the money for the funding of those tournaments might indirectly come from.......

And where do all the clubs come from that all the players, everywhere/every tour, use?

People get their heads up their asses over 1 thing yet not about another thing.....that is actually the same damn thing!!

And @Sneakylong ALL sporting events, now and throughout history, have been "exhibitions".....by definition.
And here you thought you were slandering/slurring something. 🤣

Par4QC And where do all the clubs come from that all the players, everywhere/every tour, use?

With all due respect, some are forged in Japan, etc. Seems similar to autos - parts come from all over. 🤔

          Eguller Seems similar to autos

Sneaky only drives American made. You know what I mean.....something from the '70s perhaps, possibly the last time they were all American made.

Club components come from everywhere, yet people have to have them in order to play. And they buy them no matter. Even Sneaky does.

Hell, check out some of the food in the grocery stores. Everyone WANTS to think it all comes from American farmers.

True dat. Sometimes it doesn't make sense when they are grown around the corner. Peru....really ? 🙄

Eguller And that 'high hog' that some want to only 'Live American' on, sometimes is not even American either! 😲
But, let's blame someone else/some other country, shall we?

rsvman2 You decided you didn't like it because of how it was funded, and that's fine; that's your prerogative. But at least be honest about it.

I'll be honest..........I 101% avoid everything about it. My perspective is expressed by how I spend my money / time.. Viewership shows support and support leads to additional investment and therefore I have not watched a nano second of a tournament.

I don't like how it is funded, they kill people, are an oppressive society, most of the 911 terrorists were Saudis, we should have cut off our arms deal that Congress supported, they are screwing with our gas prices, I don't like Greg Norman, Phil was a complete prick, I don't like most of those who joined, I don't miss the others who joined, don't like some of their LIV affiliates, disagree with 3 rounds vs four, don't like a no cut format, don't care for the party atmosphere on the course and probably another 100 reasons if i thought about it.

Comparing it to a movie? If you don't like the story line, the actors, the writers, the producers, the music, the directoror the venue, why would I invest my time and money?

              My honest perspective and done.

Feel free to debate among yourselves.

              rsvman2

Sorry you feel that way. I agree with much of what @potbunker said. I’ve given my reasons in past posts for why I don’t have any interest in LIV. And I don’t really care if you don’t agree with my reasons for not having any interest in LIV.

Also, if I don’t like the actors or subject matter along with who funded a movie, I’d have zero interest in seeing the movie.😏

If you feel so strongly about it why not email Bob Parsons and tell him how much you dislike his reasons for not sponsoring LIV players. Report back what he says.🙄

The only thing I watch on the CW Network is Penn and Teller: Fool Us. Lol And it’s gonna stay that way.

I think it depends on what kind of fan one is.....Ive watched Euro Tour, LPGA, Champions, Web.com, college men's and women's, team events, am men's and women's, and LIV. LIV is the least interesting of those events and formats. I will own that it COULD be because of the politics but I don't think so. For the same reason I don't care for watching pro ams, celebrity events (Lake Tahoe is OK, the Pebble proam is OK, and there is one proam on the Euro Tour that is OK, I'm mostly watching for the venue). I prefer traditional stroke play and match play and team play (RC, PC, SC). I prefer golf shots. The Euro events I've watched ... maybe know 1/2 or less of the field, college and web,com sometimes 0%! It seems to me that LIV would be the tour to go to for "names", but🤔. IMO it has been a good thing to see some new blood and guys getting chances. The DP Tour now the names are hardly recognizable! I still get more enjoyment out of it! I still get more enjoyment out of LPGA and that's with Morgan P and Paige M 🗣️. If the PGA goes the way of music, shorts and untucked shirts, shotgun starts, teams with logos within a stroke play.... Best believe I won't be watching as much. LIV, although showing more shots, that aside is not better to view then the PGA and other events noted. If one thing that comes of LIV is that the PGA coverage shows more shots and more golfers then that will be a good thing. You guys going back and forth about the politics is pointless IMO.

There's something for everyone to enjoy.
No need to point fingers and say that sucks, we're the best.
Those that do are egotistical, self righteous assholes.

                😉

I haven't watched a minute of LIV and won't, I just don't watch golf other than the majors. But there has to be away to make sure the main LIV guys can get in majors. I want to see all the best competing. You can't tell me the Masters wasn't more exciting with Koepka and Phil in the field.

ode You guys going back and forth about the politics is pointless IMO.

Going back and forth over politics is ALWAYS pointless. 👍

Talor Gooch won again yesterday, 2 in a row.
He now has won over $19M in just 13 tournaments!!
