sdandrea1 Hopefully they’ll implement the pitch clock next year. In our minor league games here it’s eliminated the gamesmanship between pitcher and batter for the most part.

Yes! Our minor league team here has the pitch clock and a time limit for inning change. Game moves along nicely.

Same here. And I can enjoy a nice day at the park with tickets, food, and beverages not requiring a loan to attend like the majors

$18 beers........but it's a 20oz at Nats park. Fredericksburg Nats park is a fun affordable outing.

Watching the tournament right now. A fair number of guys taking advantage of the shorts ruling, including Chase Koepka, Michelson (!), Westwood, Dechambeau, Na, and others. DJ sticking with long pants.
Niemann in the lead with DJ and Gooch one shot back. Cam Smith is three shots off the lead in his first LIV event.

darpar Love the Long Socks. I wish he would really own it with some white New Balance golf shoes.

darpar Westwoods long socks makes him look like a tourist out for a round of vacation golf.

He is. Relax. Count the $$$. Have a beer. 😉

We watched Saturday and Sunday. I don't know, it just doesn't flow for me. Plus, having the same basic group of guys over and over, it reinforces the feeling of randomness of elite tournament golf, if that makes any sense.

My biggest gripe is that all of the carnival stuff they do makes it feel like an exhibition. As a fan, I think it's an inferior product.

I like that they can wear shorts.

I am curious, as this sentiment comes up a lot, but did you watch any of the DP World Tour Made in Himmerland this weekend (tourney in Denmark)

                DonM exhibition

That's what it is! That being said, it still can be compelling.

I have a hard time seeing names like Dustin Johnson, Joaquin Niemann, and Cameron Smith at the top of the leaderboard and thinking of it as an exhibition. It wouldn't be at all surprising to see those names at the top in a big PGA Tour event if they were in it. The only guys really as relevant on the PGA Tour are Rory, Justin, Scotty, and Jordan - and it's been awhile since Rory and Jordan won a major. Tiger is obviously king, but it is always possible that he may never have anything but marquee value going forward.
