A friendly word about this club - holy **** it's long.

I started looking for one of these when I got wind of the super flat lie angles. My F7 3w has a lie angle of about 58.75°, and while I manage it OK my left misses tend to be very left. It sits a little toe-up to my eye. If I get handsy at all it's left, and sometimes I can miss right trying to hold the release off. Just a little sloppy for my setup. I'm 5'10", athletic, and probably bend over more in my swing than most - more one-plane. Upright lie angles can be trouble.

I then learned that the Callaway Sub Zero fairways had very flat lie angles, and since Rogue was already out and had that jailbreak stuff in the FW line (Epic does not,) I looked into those. The SZ has a lie angle of 55°!

The distance for me is silly. It's probably more about loving the way the club sits behind the ball than the magical jailbreak tech, but I'm hitting this thing with a lazy swing as far as I hit my F7 strong. I have hit many shots with the even flow 75g and a PX Hzrdus yellow 83g, both 6.0 flex. Had some odd shots here and there with the evenflow, but the hzrdus yellow has been a delight.

It's not for everyone - if you need help with elevating the ball this isn't it. If you aren't struggling with height, and you miss too many left, the SZ line is a surprising solution. Sits super flat and super square at address for me - a lovely feeling of "geez, how could I ever miss left with this?" Epic SZ has same lie angles, but no jailbreak.

Sound and feel are also great. I suspect it'll be a keeper.

And yeah, long. With the evenflow I hit one through the fairway into the wind with a standard swing at 267, a hazard I was sure I could not reach, and was not trying to get especially close to since it's a short part 4. Would not have reached with the F7, not within 15yds. With the hzrdus yellow I seem to make even better contact, get slightly better height, and the distance is very easy.

Give one a shot if you want to stay out of the left!
