Bravopilot I'm pretty much like you although my low is only 78. I'll switch brands and models pretty easily. If it has a urethane cover I usually like it. The big exceptions were the Kirkland 3 pc V1 which I found noticeably shorter off the tee and the original Titleist AVX which I found to be an uncontrollable super ball around the greens. Pretty much everything else is playable. I like some a bit better than others, but not enough to only play that ball. I hear you should stick with 1 model for consistency, but I have tried that and it didn't improve my scores.
I will keep playing a ball as long as possible. I don't mind minor scratches or scuffs, but if it looks major then I'll put it aside to be donated to the range. I can sometimes go a good 2.5 rounds without losing a ball although if you saw my scores you might think I lost several sleeves.
