So it's certainly not easy to hit a ball that hard and control it, this I know and there is a LOT of skill involved with it. You take the average margin of error that is allowed to find a fairway at ~100mph and that sure as hell isn't going to be there at ~130-140mph, the noticeable extent of error is far more when the ball has 350+ yards in the air to allow spin and wind to play their nasty games.
No offense intended, but you may think you are something special at finding fairways, but these guys could find just as many as you at your landing points... probably with roughly a 7 iron, so that's not exactly the same game.
I don't disagree the concept is boring, it's kind of fun to participate (not that I can keep up on THAT level), but to actually watch it? Boring. I haven't watched since I watched Sadlowski the first time he won. His swing was/is amazing to me. Then again, I don't watch baseball because I always get so distracted by watching the grass grow I lose track of all the "action" on the field, so I'm not a fair judge of that. I can respect the fact, the professionals are in another world and even those who "suck" are still absolutely elite and would kick the shit out of 99% of the world. So to that end, I think some people here need a reality check and if they don't care to watch.... don't.
