Let's look at it another way, LB. You watch PGA golf on TV sometimes. They only swing around 110 avg., top of 120, with 44.5-46" clubs, on fairways that are sometimes as wide as a desert. The LD fellas swing around 140avg., with a top of 150+, with 46-48" clubs, on a set fairway of 50 yds. wide. There is a huge diff in the lofts of those clubs also.
You think those 'slow' swingin PGA fellas hit the fairway a lot? They don't; top avg. is only around 74%. They been swingin those sticks since they were still suckin on bottles, for the most part, and imo, should be hammering the hell outta that short grass. Esp. when they sometimes pull out the FW club, and still miss a lot!
The avg. for the LD fellas is a lot lower, no doubt, but they only need 1 in, to win. Their OB's don't cost them anything, unless they got 8 in a row. (and we did see that happen to 2 of them)
