I was looking through the Golfers Warehouse flyer that came today. I noticed all the iron sets are not only a lot… $1244-$1299 ( for what I like) but ALL the iron sets are 7 pieces… previous years wasn’t it always 8 piece? It was always 4-A wedge. That’s how everyone ended up with the 4 and the A. Now it only says 7 piece and doesn’t say the set make up. So even though it’s like wow that’s a lot… if Someone wanted 8 clubs it’s stupid money!

They do have 8 pc. sets, but some brands are sold out of them.

Par4QC Every oem I looked at, well major oem, was only for 7 pieces. I had to count out the clubs and was like WTF??

But now they are fighting over who makes the longest hybrid… WTF… what sense does a “super hybrid” make?? The 3 wood IMO is obsolete now.

Golfers Warehouse is a very good place to buy imo.

I only buy from them (Edwin Watts here in Florida). Went to a Golf Galaxy (owned by Dick's Sporting Goods) recently and in order to hit in a bay with a launch monitor you have to pay $69.00 for a fitting and if you buy they'll deduct the $69.00 from your purchase.

They only allow you to hit in a bay with no launch monitor without any caveats. At Edwin Watts you can hit in a bay with a launch monitor and they don't charge for a fitting.

Or you can fit yourself and they'll leave you alone. Worldwide Golf's 90 day exchange policy works better for me than buying off the internet.

I pretty much only buy new and tend to keep my clubs for awhile. They also sell used clubs with the 90 day warranty as well.

As far as irons go I know many retailers are having problems getting irons. For awhile now for certain clubs Ping was saying January at the earliest for example.

Always thought most don't buy the set GW, so with loft creep that leaves 4-pw.

My PW I consider my 10 iron and a a gap wedge an 11 iron. After that … 54 and up are my specialty category since it’s more finesse shots.

Sneakylong Really good people work at the Danvers, MA location. They know you by first name, really nice people. I send people looking for clubs to my buddy Eddie that works there all the time. He says to me,”you know a lot of people…”.

They’re used club selection is stellar. AND reasonably priced… not like Google Galaxy.

Sneakylong Golfers Warehouse is a very good place to buy imo.

I used to love the ones in CT, but the last one left in Hartford is just ok these days. Seems to be run by a bunch of stuck up pros that know golf but not clubs. Chris Cote's is better in this area, but we don't have much to choose from compared to the year round golf states.

A modern 7 piece set is like buy an old 3-9 set. Their making you buy all your wedges extra and trying to sell you a couple hybrids when the 4 or 5 iron you get is already what what amounts to a 3 iron.

Tinker What I’m saying too is not only ha e clubs gone up in price but they also dropped a club. A year or 2 ago you’d see an 8 piece set 4-AW for $999. Last year it went to $1199 and now this year it’s a 7 piece set for $1299. Nobody realizes they dropped a club AND went up.

Typhoon I have definetly noticed. I’ve seen 5 try pw, that’s a 6 piece set.
