Golf Shaft Storage

I am trying to get my basement shop a bit more organized. I have loose golf shafts stuck everywhere. I have wall rack that I out grew years ago and have loose shafts in buckets, on shelves of other places. I want to make a new rack that will hold all of my shafts vertically and preferably with graphics showing so I can ID them easily. I thought about rings of 4" PVC screwed to the wall. What do youse guys use either DIY or purchased. And no, I ain't thinning the herd. I might need them someday. 😜

One thing I started doing with sets of pulls from the same set is using a couple of rubber bands to keep them all together as a set. Saves some space and keeps them together. I currently store those in an extra golf bag from the Thrift Store. I do not have a massive quantity of shafts. Maybe only 60 or so.

Rickochet I took old golf bag boxes, cut them down, then cut down 4x4 club boxes and fit them into the golf bag box. Then just put the shafts into them.
Another way would be to get a big rectangular garbage can that comes with a lid. Use a big enough hole saw and swiss cheese the lid with holes. Bam you're done.

Oh, you probably wanted something elegant.....

I got enough to stuff in at least 3 driver shipping boxes, and it's what I do. I am blessed with great recall, so I do always know what I have; although I do have to dig to find it. 😉

You need to find, or build, a pool cue rack for the wall(s); cheap/easy build. Takes up no space. Just grab a shaft and go.

Rickochet Are they not similar to pool cues?? Why keep painting the walls?

Or, go to some flea markets and grab a few old milk cans. Put some foam in the bottom.

Vertically? you have a ton of shafts and want them display Vertically? Then with 4" PVC, are you suuure. (my best my cousin vinny writing)
if so you could run a piece of 1 x 2 along a wall as long as needed and hand pool cue holders and snap those puppies into place.
If you meant the other way and still want to see them I have seen (using the 4" PVC) where a portion of the tube is cut away to make it into a crib like feature.

Functionality over fancy. I might try some 4" pvc pipe and make "quivers" to hold a bunch of "arrows" and hang them on hooks on the wall. I just got a storage shelf unit from Amazon to put a lot of my other loose golf stuff on. I got a stack of square 4 quart dish pans that fit the shelves nicely. I had a bolted together shelf unit in the utility room we had stacked with canned goods I had to remove to replace my furnace and replace it with one of these on casters for the canned goods. These suckers are very easy to put together and sturdy. I liked it so I got one for my golf crap. I put casters on it also.
This one is 36" x 14" x 72" and each shelf can hold 350 lbs.
