JeffTilley Maugust789 I remember going around our neighborhood in St. Louis picking up those bottles for the 5 cent return and then buying a bag of hard candy at the corner mom & pop store for 25 cents.
Par4QC sdandrea1 The reason I turned to a life of crime, instead of taking my scholarships, back then. 🤫

fatshot sdandrea1 You were a teacher? What'd you teach? I started in 1967 at $6700 per year! As soon as I signed my contract I went out and bought a new Ford Mustang!!
sdandrea1 fatshot You were a teacher? What'd you teach? I started in 1967 at $6700 per year! As soon as I signed my contract I went out and bought a new Ford Mustang!! Elementary education. I bought a new AMC Hornet Hatchback, 1973. I left teaching in 1978. Got into Computer Science and Production/Inventory control and ultimately became a Federal Civil servant in 1994.
fatshot I remember buying these in the pro shop at the local 9 hole muni for $.60 a ball....nine holes only cost $.75....!!
KCee I remember when you could refer to someone as her or him and your teenager wouldn't read you the riot act about pronouns 🙄
Dufferman I'm not quite as old as some of you, but I do remember having to go out and spin the directional antennae to make one or the other of our available tv stations to come in better. We got CBS and NBC. Also remember trying to check out hotties on the internet with a dial up connection and a monitor that only displayed images kind of like Minecraft! Everything was basically automatically censored!

Eguller OK.... I remember watching Captain Midnight and Johnny Jupiter on TV as a kid. I was scheduled to be on the Howdy Doody show but got nailed by measles. 🙄🤨
fatshot I remember arguing with my older brother about who had to get up off the couch to change the channel on TV...!!
colej I remember when I could actually walk into golfworks pro shop. It was fully stocked with every major brand out there. You compare and hit every club against any Maltby or golfworks head. There were bins of used heads you could look through and buy. Bins of pulled shafts you could look through. Now you can walk to a counter and talk to someone that’s it. Hardly anything back behind the counter and no “oem” clubs to hit against.
d5n03 colej So, things have changed over there that much? My last visit was in 2017 & the shop wasn’t that bad.
fatshot colej I think that's due to Covid 19.....it seems to me that I've seen a statement to that effect on their website. Hopefully, when/if the pandemic ends, things will get back to normal there.
Mattyv I remember riding in the back of vehicles with no seat belts. Would probably get arrested for that now.
hobbit Mattyv Yes, no seat belts even existed in the back seats. And we would drive to Florida in this, over two days... These days its a non-stop flight or nothing.
fatshot sdandrea1 I don't think my Dad's cars even had seat belts. I remember one of the biggest arguments I ever saw my mom and dad have was whether or not to get the optional turn signals on a new car they were buying!! I think they added $50 or $100 bucks to the price of the car in the 1950's.
wishbone Bravopilot I remember that... 6 months of 18 in bar only as well, before it changed to 19 for both
