Ours went up 10 cents last week and another 10 cents this week. Now $3.55 a gallon. Thanks _ _ _! Come on man, this is getting ridiculous!

Yeah, Trump is such a malignant narcissist that he thinks Putin is his friend. The Wall Street Journal (no liberal rag) has confirmed just now that Putin is sharing satellite and drone info with Iran.

Trump doesn’t understand that autocratic countries stick together. Iran has helped Putin in the Ukrainian war. And Putin is reciprocating. Putin is not Trump’s friend. More like useful idiot.

Again, Trump is a wannabe dictator and favors authoritarians over democratic allies. He doesn’t understand democracies shared values over autocracies.

And thus has denigrated our NATO partners seemingly at every turn. So no surprise they’re giving him the cold shoulder now over this war.

So yeah, the winner here is Putin. Oh, $3.99 today. And Iranian oil is moving thru the Strait of Hormuz.

All good questions. I don't "know" much. I think a lot and read a lot but thinking and knowing are different entities. It's my understanding, via my media sources, that senior military leadership advised against this. Was that a temporal warning, that we weren't properly prepared? Again, I don't know. The consequences you ask about should have been obvious. We know Iran's status related to their oil production and supply. Oil is a global commodity and it was obvious that minimally the price would increase significantly as the supply is constrained. About weapons grade uranium? Again, too complicated to know - to speculate? Well, the POTUS said their capacity was destroyed in June. All international reports suggest they did not have nuclear capability nor were they doing so. If they had, this would not have played out as it has. Likewise, their missile l capabilities were exaggerated by Trump and his administration. They do not have ICBM capability to reach the US.

The Strait of Hormuz? An oil tanker is a sitting duck. I have no idea why you'd think otherwise. Would be easily hit by a drone or a suicide boat. Several have already.

To get back on topic, gas is up another dime. $3.49 at one place, $3.59 at most. $3.34 at Costco.

It wasn't too long ago that prices were $2.43. But prices did start rising before the war.

In 2022, gas prices were high due to start of Putins Ukraine invasion plus pent up demand post Covid.

Good luck trying to inform people that oil is a global market and has been for a long time. Supply/demand in just the U.S. is not relevant. I think you adequately covered the "extraordinary" events.
