Yes, agreed about last year. Problem is, and it's distressing based upon his talent but AJ has turned into a head case. Even the year prior with the success of winning the Super Bowl, he just had to be the center of attention. Such a shame. Yes, he can dominate a game - but only if he wants to. For his price that level of desire can't be optional.

Yeah…. Reminds me of another supposed head case the Patriots acquired. His name was Randy Moss who’s in the Hall of Fame.

Belichick got Moss for peanuts because of his head case reputation. Moss loved playing for Belichick and loved playing with Brady.

Turns out Randy Moss in addition to being a head case was also a savant when it came to football.

If not for a fluke catch off David Tyree’s helmet the Moss acquisition would’ve gone down in history along with an undefeated season.

So I think Vrabel would love to have Brown and Brown would love playing for Vrabel again. Fingers crossed it happens and maybe lightning can strike twice. 🤞

I’m hearing Alec Pierce. But, then again, my sources pretty much suck.
Edited to add: his concussion history would scare me off - at least for a 4 year, 100 plus million dollar contract.

Sneakylong And they now need a number 1 receiver to replace Diggs. If they don’t address those needs then with a number 1 schedule next season they’ll fall short imo.

Lafleur and GB can vouch for this. It gets mulled over on text chains, walk breaks, and over beers. A receiver has a big play or a big game and some one shoots their mouth off, see "we have a 1"🙄...idiots the lot of em. The key is to make the money count vs needlessly getting a 1 just to say so. You can still be a good team without one, but I agree re "fall short". We have and will continue to do so.....and the idiots will continue to shoot their mouth off. The best we can hope for is developing someone like a Davante Adam's. He worked his way to a 1.

They need a receiver to replace Diggs. They have the cap space to get one. They draft low this year, so they should go get one while Maye is still on his rookie contract. My bet would be they do.

Yeah, they had a weak schedule last year. This year they have a tough schedule (6th hardest including eight playoff teams).

Sneakylong That’s not gonna do it. Eagles are gonna want 2 number 1’s or they’ll keep him for now. You want a top position player you need to come up with Micah Parsons Bounty.

Pats will go into the season worse at Receiver, pick up a no name edge rusher and some OL help that’s no better than what they have. Figure they’ll dump Barmore too because of his court date.

I think that even that, 1 & 3, is too much for a team still rebuilding. Regardless of making it to the Super Bowl - the Pats have too many holes to fill to give up picks.
Given Brown’s questionable attitude and high price (29 million next year, and 32 each of the following three years), I don’t see the value above what Diggs gave? For an extra reception per game and 7 yards? To let Diggs walk … they must be thinking they can get either younger, cheaper, or significantly better. Two of those three would be great, all three unlikely 😝

We’ll see. They were saying this morning one possibility is the Eagles wait until June, but that would mean they’d miss out on this years draft. The 2027 draft is supposed to be better.

He is a very good player and would be a nice option to add. Strong hands, solid option on 3rd down. He was a steal in the draft. Make no mistake however......he is no #1, lack of elite speed and does.not have ability to go up high and get a ball.

Would’ve liked to have seen the Patriots sign Bucs receiver Mike Evans. But he went with the 49’ers for 3 years and $60 million. Future Hall of Famer.

Sneakylong He's amazing when he plays, but he misses a lot of time from injuries.

Sneakylong No thanks to Mike Evans. He was great a few years back but I’m leary of giving up anything for him after his last
Injury.
