Sneakylong yeah Darnold was still Darnold and he has been the beneficiary of being on two good teams now with the Vikings and now the Seahawks. From memory, his stats were better last year.....I think this is his upside. He's good enough to help his team win a SB. Have a good D, get some weapons on O. Don't necessarily need an MVP caliber QB to make the playoffs and make a deep run. Although I don't know this for sure, sometimes getting a guy like Darnold, who just came off a huge year, brings some juice to the organization. Not sure how to measure that but it definitely helped.

Who would have picked these two teams to meet in the SB at the beginning of the year🤔.....to make the playoffs 🤔.....to win the division🤔. None of the above likely for most!

Just goes to show that where you go in the draft matters. Minnesota made a huge mistake. But the thinking was they wouldn’t lose much starting a rookie with his rookie contract.

Hindsight it was a terrible decision. They lost a lot. And Darnold isn’t making top QB money either. One media person Colin Coherd picked the Pats to make the playoffs this year.

I will. lol Was enjoying the last few years watching the NFL without getting all wound up watching the Patriots with Brady and company constantly being in the hunt.

Now seemingly overnight we’re back. Along with all the emotional stress of rooting for them again. 😨😳🫣😬😰😀

I never liked Belichick anymore than anybody else did, just seems odd that he coached a team to
as many championship winning seasons as he did and not make it the first year....
He must have really pissed off a LOT of sports writers!

None of them. But many of his contemporaries had multiple opportunities to draft him ahead of New England or trade for him early on and none of them did so.

Greatest winning professional coach of all time, and mentor to the greatest winning professional quarterback of all time and greatest winning college coach of all time. I don't even like the Patriots and always rooted against them in the Super Bowls, but passing on their coach makes the committee worthless IMO.

Well, to at least be a little fair … it’s a team game. It’s just as easy to say that Tom never won in New England without also having a top 8 defense.

Belichick needed 80 percent (40 votes out of 50). Probably still a lot of resentment regarding Spygate, Deflategate and winning so many Super Bowls.

He obviously isn’t that well liked by some of the voters. I wonder why. 🤔 lol

And why isn’t Robert Kraft in the Hall of Fame? Kraft has more (6) Super Bowl Championships than Jerry Jones (3). Jones got in (in) 2017. Kraft is a sole finalist in the Contributor category for the class pf 2026. So we'll see.

Makes you wonder if Tom Brady gets in on the first ballot when he becomes eligible. 🤔

Sneakylong wasn't Kraft a suspect in that massage therapist scope a while back🤔......most have probably forgotten about that. As for modern era.....those three would be top of the mark as far as owner, coach, QB....and getting into the HOF...I can't see any of those.controversies preventing them from getting in, maybe delayed. This isn't a Pete Rose kinda thing.
