Not necessarily. There obviously wasn’t a camera angle for clear evidence. However, tie goes to the offensive receiver.
In a perfect world. The camera would catch the exact moment the ball was caught and who had possession and when down by contact occurred.
Imo human error prevailed in this case. For me if the technology existed there would be photographic evidence of who had possession and was down by contact.
