braveheart I listen to WEEI with Vrabel on often.

Used to listen to WEEI all the time. Glenn Orway had The Big Show when we last lived up there. Go all the way back to Eddie Andelman. Just looked him up and he's still alive.

Bob Neumeirer died a few years ago. Always liked Bob Lobel on WBZ as well. Bob Gamere (Channel 7). And in 2008 when the Red Sox were playing the Rays down here in the ALCS we went to final game where the Rays won and talked quite a bit with Mike Lynch (Channel 5).

Boston was and is a great sports town.

I will say it is something to see the confidence within the team, after all these years of head hanging. Not sure though how Vegas figures in the confidence factor.🤔Other teams should.

Nobody saw bears doing what they are doing. That said, an offense minded hc, vastly improved off line (especially run blocking) and hitting home runs on all skill position 2025 draft choices and last but not least Caleb upping his play have certainly helped. Also their defense pretty much sucks except 1 important facet-takeaways, they are no. 1 in league.

Really depends on the ref crew, from games I've watched. Pass interference calls get same treatments by different crews.

professor not in the pros.....in college yes.....cannot lead with the head. It gets reviewed and player is ejected for a game (rest of the one he's in and whatever portion of the next to make it one full game). If "defenseless" then the protections are there in pro,s.

Thursday night's game may be very "telling". Both Cowboys and Lions having the same length of time off since their last ventures. Cowboys on the rise, Lions on the fall... in Detroit. Detroit may be getting desperate? I wonder how many 4th downs Dan Campbell might attempt? All of them?

Seems to be several teams doing that this season. Strange, to me, when they give up a shot at 3 points a lot of times. Esp. when they do not convert.

But, they are doing it at a 51% success rate, with KC leading with 16. But given their record, is it worth the 50/50 chance? Esp. if giving up 3 points(possibly)?

Oh, there you go... perfect example of stats and analytics - bedfellows. LOL
Although, I watch Sean Payton the other night and he played his hand old school and didn't leave his offense out there to turn it over on downs. He took the 3's and it paid dividends. So, there's that.

Then again, when we see these behemoths carrying QBs down field.....😄

Kicking field goals and punting is NFL coaching kryptonite.

ode Punting, or attempted, is waaay down in the NFL, even with the longer season.

Surprising that the team with the best record has the most punts.🤔

Par4QC waiting for punters to not have a roster spot, or activated/game time decision. It used to be some teams would have two kickers, one with a leg for touchbacks, might be some pay reductions soon!
