I would know they are not very informed if they are calling for the coach's dismissal with an even record. And a coach with such a....yes.....legacy of winning seasons/making the playoffs. Or they may possibly be just a huge group of drunks that like to mouth off and then think they are smart.
Can't be sure which they may be. So I guess I really do not know about those fans. Sorry I spoke out in such manner.

And I do not support the Bears. Maybe if they were sold, but since the old woman passed on, there has been a change, so.....

Maybe those Steeler fans are highly knowledgeable and are also accustomed to years of greatness? Maybe they're tired because since Roethlisberger, they really haven't done much. Maybe I'd know some of them as they are ardent fans with as much knowledge as yours.

So, if you don't support the Bears and you can't find televised games on your own tv, you just criticize via "boxscore"? Or you just follow teams that are doing well? It's hard to tell. LOL

Can't criticize something you do not see/witness. One may have questions about box scores though, asking those that did actually see the games.
I see TV games. When shown/what's shown/when I want to watch.

I watch interesting games. I'd watch Saints vs. Titans(did not/won't ever😆) long before watching tonight's game, which I did not.

I'd agree with that. So, since I'm able to find multiple games to watch (not living in the "mid-west") I have watched the Steelers for years (decades) and this particular crew has been short-handed offensively since Roethlisberger retired. Given the amount of control Tomlin is granted, I can appreciate the fans' frustration.

Yeah, 6 years since Brady left and things seem to have fallen in place.

As one media person put it. Gillette stadium in the Belichick years you had to walk on egg shells.

Now you walk in there and people are nice. Almost like the Belichick / Brady years (winning) only with a smile. 😊

Looking for clarification on what constitutes "targeting"? Jaxson Dart was scrambling, therefore a "runner" as noted by the officiating "official" (part of the broadcasts these days). After Dart got literally hammered - helmet to helmet - and fumbled. For that reason, because he was a "runner", there's no foul for targeting?! I didn't realize that...
Don't know who else may have been viewing.

I did not see it, but there is always a lot of 'incidental' helmet-helmet in the games. Really cannot not happen a lot of times. It's always the ref's discretion as to which type they choose to call. But 'targeting' is very obvious most times......you don't tackle with your head.😉

professor correct......in college that would not be allowed....although some leeway when ball carrier/receiver lowers down and is going to the ground. In the pros they let the non forceable shots to the QBs head go sometimes, minimal contact, the follow through with hands barely glancing. It's evolving and IMO much much better this year vs years past.....where any contact to the helmet of QB in pocket and it was a flag.

Dart’s taking too many unnecessary shots. At this rate he’ll spend more time in the blue tent than on the field.

The play where he tried to tip toe down the side line and got roasted was stupid. Yeah, maybe if you’re trying to sustain a drive to win the game late.

Maye did some of that last year. Not anymore. Everyone knows Dart is tough. But as Bruce Arians said, ‘this isn’t pee wee football.’

I think a runner is generally considered to be aware of impending contact and therefore also considered to bear equal responsibility for helmet-to-helmet collisions. For a qb in the act of passing or a receiver in the act of catching, their attention is not on impending collisions, but for a runner that should be their main focus. I didn't see the play, so I don't know the specifics in this case. I also think there are exceptions even for runners if the defender is coming in from the side and strikes with the helmet, shoulder or knee to the head or if the runner is in the grasp of another defender.

I listen to WEEI with Vrabel on often. The announcers seem to enjoy speaking to him and Vrabel appears more open, friendly and informative than BB ever was. I feel the Patriots now have the coach, QB, and program that will be around and highly successful for a long time.

Sneakylong Dart is in the unfortunate situation where the Giants need him to run hard just to compete in the game. However, any quarterback that runs until contact will get hurt. Even as big as Cam Newton is, he was constantly in some state of lower functioning due to pain and injury. Lamar has been nimble enough to avoid most heavy blows and Hurts generally doesn't allow anyone to square up on him except in tush push situations where he's somewhat protected on all sides by his own players. Dart isn't durable enough to take many heavy shots and needs to understand that he has more value to the team on the field for the next drive than he is sacrificing himself for the current drive. I admire his toughness and desire to win, but he needs to wait until he has a team that can move with him.

johnnydoom our guy in GB has fought through and MCL, missed several games last year and came back and performed reasonably well and this year he has a sprained shoulder (non throwing, but he was handing off with his throwing hand only, which is awkward to the right). Our backup came in and played well ⬅️ very important to have a good backup

Used to listen to WEEI all the time. Glenn Orway had The Big Show when we last lived up there. Go all the way back to Eddie Andelman. Just looked him up and he's still alive.

Bob Neumeirer died a few years ago. Always liked Bob Lobel on WBZ as well. Bob Gamere (Channel 7). And in 2008 when the Red Sox were playing the Rays down here in the ALCS we went to final game where the Rays won and talked quite a bit with Mike Lynch (Channel 5).

Boston was and is a great sports town.

Dart will not last long if he keeps up his attitude about taking hits. Hey, I admire toughness but intelligence, matters more.
Ability is nice but not if you don't have availability. As Sneakylong mentioned, NE coaches have Maye taking less hits in his movement in the pocket and during runs. There are times to take hits, but when you have another down coming, know this and get down or out of bounds quicker.
