You were doing great as I agreed with everything in your post until these last two lines - but with varying reasons. The NFL is an ever-expanding cash cow. Having now become mainstream for women and men... the use of pay to watch, expansion to a first game in now Australia, next season, etc...

I don't know about the viewership come Sunday. While the game might not attract just and only fans of the NFL, it's become quite the "affair" for many. I'm regionally-locally to close to the Philly market to be objective. We'll soon find out. Me, I'll not be disturbed this Sunday evening for anything but a house fire.

Management oversees the people that make it a cash cow. That is separate from what we see/read every week. That article shows it with the way they treat employees in public.

They can be rich, while also being disgusting people/managers.

Me: "Hey, google, how long is halftime at the Super Bowl?" I will then commence to gathering food, beverage, and ideally "peace of mind" for the second half. Problem solved. Might even listen to one side of an album!

I'm not planning to watch the game, but as far as I can tell there is plenty of interest in it and that viewership has been high the previous two years. I've seen noise of a "boycott" due to the perceptions of the officials and bias toward the Chiefs, but I think it is just noise. Mahomes is a huge draw and has become an almost Michael Jordan type figure in the NFL.

The game always starts while we're in Sunday evening church, and I know my daughter doesn't want to join the youth group watch party so I'll probably hang with her while my wife finds a group to watch it with.

Yes, although you know they're trying to be more "mainstream" and especially want to add young adults as viewers. Besides, it's not Taylor's music that attracts me. We'll get plenty of her in the luxury box.

Two, the prior Eagles vs Chiefs had a large audience. I'd expect close to the same.

Decreasing Super Bowl tickets blame people are tired of KC dynasty. Tickets dropped from $6500 to $2800. Not cheap. Bet you still have to pay for hot dogs and a beer.

If you gave me (or if I won) SB tickets, I'd sell them. The view is better at home, pause and rewind on streaming TV, bathroom and food breaks without missing anything, watching the commercials again, choice of affordable food, and control over who you're seated next to. There's no downside.
