You know better than that. Because even if one team has its tendency to score a lot of points, there's a reciprocity as a very dynamic variable. It could be that that team gets more possessions because their defense is imposing its will, or better yet, taking the ball away. So same team, accustomed to scoring now becomes the one that flinches, fumbles, throws interceptions and now has lesser possessions. Did the offense change? Nope, it was just facing a better defense - one it's not accustomed to.
