Correct. And what's the "hit" rate for all draft picks? How many first-rounders turn into first ballot HOF'ers and how many are out of the league in a couple years? Likewise, how many late round picks turn into All-Pro's? The draft is a crap shoot and just like analytics the numbers only tell a part of the story. They don't measure intrinsic attributes.
Current example, for me. The Eagles are putting together a nice season, so far. There's this guy on the roster, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. His dad was amazing. So to an extent, he's got a "pedigree". But, he also got more DNA from his mother than father. He's on the team, gets some playing time on special teams. He's undersized and not quite fast enough. He is however very quick and has what they call a high football IQ and plays intuitively. I'd like to see him get more time. We've all seen the the not stereotypical athletic specimen that just outplays their price-point.
