No, not same - similar sure. Hand-offs are far easier than passes. Fumbles are always at risk run or pass. Rare to hear the play by play "Smith intercepts the run." Then again, Woody didn't consider that an incomplete pass stops the clock. An incomplete run, I've never heard of.
