Last night's Packers v 49ers OMG.

"Rebuilding" is what they just said about the Bears. This is the 1st of their games I've watched this season. I find it less than amusing that although they are 'rebuilding' they continue to bring in(whoever) that calls the same offensive plays from the past 15 years. And this fella, is quite the tool.
When you call a pass play, make sure the QB has more than just 2 targets against 5 defenders. Even with 8 blockers vs. 6, the QB was sacked 2 times. He had no one to throw to, and nowhere to run. Why were the backs still in the backfield, blocking? Why were there only 2 receivers?

Not that Fields could even pick out a man and hit him, but still.

And I am also assured that my assessment of the Bears ownership/management/coaching is very much correct. Even more so this season.

DonM Not on mine. I get too much motion sickness watching them the past few years. My head is constantly shaking.

They have Fields listed as 6'3". No way. He cannot see over the line. And never, but never, stays in the pocket because of it. Obvious. Very.

I imagine just about anyone can play for or coach the Bears teams. Offense and defense. Apparently the playbooks are there, in place since the early 60's, and never gather dust. Follow the books, and you will be a successful Chicago Bears coach/player.
You will lose a shit ton of games, and bear the ire of all fans/analysts/reporters, but you will be successful in that respect. It is Bears coaching/playing. It is 'in the books' of The Hallowed Hall.

And sometimes, as a player, you will just shit your pants. If you watched the game last night, you will know what I mean. 😉😲

Heard an ex NFL GM say yesterday that the Bucs should call Rob Gronkowski and and give him what he wants to come back to just practice once a week, play 3rd downs primarily as a blocker and red zone. I like it.

They certainly need him, especially now with TE Cameron Brate out.
