The Commanders are proof that, despite what everybody always says, it's about the offensive line, not about the quarterback.
They did a lot better with Heinecke and a good offensive line. Since then, they actually have upgraded at the skill positions, and supposedly at quarterback, but they have a hard time coming up with 30 yards of total offense in a quarter of football. Just sad. Even if we had Joe Montana in his heyday we would lose every game without an offensive line, and with what appears to be a brain-dead offensive coordinator.
Right now I honestly think they would be better with Heinecke. At least he can run and do some roll-outs, and he can sense the pressure coming in the pocket and get out of the pocket when needed. Oh, and he is smart enough not to hold onto the football for no reason and then get a grounding call.
