sdandrea1 wishbone Please, please, make it so! The NFL has to step up. Snyder is tarnishing the brand (as if it could be tarnished more) so maybe the other owners will do the right thing.
Sneakylong https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33891178/tom-brady-join-fox-sports-lead-nfl-analyst-playing-career-ends?platform=amp $375 million for 10 years. Brady will work with Kevin Burkhardt. Buck and Romo go to ESPN doing Monday night games. And Amazon will do Thursday night games.
Sneakylong Par4QC JMO, but Tom has never seemed too intelligent. He does have tons of football intelligence though. And that's what you need to be a good analyst.
garyt1957 Par4QC I don't know about his general intellect, he just hasn't seemed to talkative when I've seen him before. Who knows maybe he opens up
Sneakylong garyt1957 Talking without saying much comes from being under Belichick for all those years. He’s not naturally funny like Peyton Manning and may not be as good in the booth as Romo. But he’ll bring his own set of skills and knowledge. Whether that translates into success is yet to be seen. If Brady has proven anything. It’s a bad bet to bet against him.
azgreg FauxAmish Any chance the original op can change the date to 2022 ? Or better yet "The NFL Thread".
PA-PLAYA Fox: Tom, we have $400 million laying around. Want a new gig? Tom: Sure. Fox: When can you start? Tom: Let me check with my wife.
Subsonic I listened to an interview by an author that wrote a book on Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. What was interesting is he said their personal characters are exactly opposite of their pubic ones. Tom is just a likeable dude who hung out with him all afternoon. Peyton was corporate and kept him on a stopwatch. I think Tom will do just fine...
Sneakylong Subsonic Tom is just a likeable dude who hung out with him all afternoon. This is what every player who's played with him says about Brady. Guys who expected to dislike him end up liking him. He treats everyone the same. James Harris comes to mind. When he came to the Patriots from Pittsburg he expected to dislike Brady, but ended up liking Brady. Hard to fake likability.
Sneakylong Bucs have a tough schedule for 2022. Bengals, Packers, Chiefs, Rams, Cardinals, Cowboys, Niners, Steelers and Browns.
Sneakylong sdandrea1 Gronk will be back. He just doesn't want to go thru all the OTA's etc.. He doesn't need that anyway. Would love to see Edelman, but don't think that will happen.
