Supposedly it’s more that Jalen Hurt’s contract. Which is $255 million over 5 years with $179 million guaranteed.

Edit: Just heard it’s $260 million over 5 years. $185 million guaranteed. Highest paid player.

What do you Commanders fans think about your 1st round pick. He might actually be great but he weighs only 166 lbs.
Can he withstand the rigors of the NFL? I'm not familiar with him all.

mulegolf I'm not a Commanders fan, but am a Mississippi State fan (my boy goes there). Forbes is always in position and he's a ball hawk. I agree that his size is something to worry about. He's fantastic when it comes to denying the ball and getting turnovers, but big receivers might be able to body him away from the ball and shake him off after the catch.

I typically wonder what Washington is thinking with all of their picks........we'll see.

I'm getting the feeling that the Vikings may trade down to get a 2nd, 3rd or 4th round pick in addition to a first rounder.
Looks like the Kentucky QB may be available for them at #23 but I don't know if they'd take him.

We’ll see. I think Baltimore was correct in locking him down for 5 years. He’s been a good quarterback for them. Jackson has a ~ 75% win percentage similar to Mahomes.

His post season isn’t as good, but neither were other great QB’s early in their career. Peyton Manning comes to mind.

The mindset for QB’s seem to be changing. Instead of traditional pocket types like Brady and Manning they’re going for the more athletic type like Mahomes and Jackson.

You’re not going anywhere without a good quarterback. Baltimore has one and now we’ll see how it goes from here.

Good to hear. They needed defense more than a RB. They just signed Montgomery from Chicago. RB's are dime a dozen, especially with their offensive line.

They are definitely treated as interchangeable commodities other than Derrick Henry these days. Gibbs, from what I've seen at Georgia Tech and Alabama has Tony Dorsett/Barry Sanders vibes about him as far as speed and evasiveness goes. One thing most don't know is that his catching skills are as good as any wide receiver. He probably can't run routes like a wide receiver, but he can get separation and make the difficult catches down field if a team will utilize that ability.

Mahomes is mobile but he's nothing like Lamar. He's a great passer who can scramble. Lamar is a mediocre passer who can run.
