garyt1957 running backs get injured a ton also. Immense people hitting you while running full speed will.do that. There's lots of talk about going back to grass as There's been so many non contact injuries blamed on the turf.

The guys doing the Monday Night game brought up how all the injuries so far in the game…. On a grass field🙄. Astroturf has been around forever, can’t blame a sudden uptick on a surface that’s been around forever. That’s not the root cause. I know running backs get injured but I’m saying these QB’s are not built to be running the ball like a running back. It’d be like taking a back up QB and putting him of the Defensive line.
I still think a lot of the new QB’s are not smart enough to run an offense and figure out a defense. They’re not smart people. So they run.

Teams are drafting the wrong players. They all look for the top QB, then they get to the NFL and fail.
Instead of taking that QB, they should have been taking the linemen from his team, that made him a great QB with their protection. Can get a lot of linemen for the price of 1 QB. And a bad QB can be made to look good by them, by giving him the time in the pocket.

Par4QC I think they go for the QB for the optics. Sad to say, but I don't know if most of them (administrators and coaches) care if anyone gets hurt. If they can plug in someone that has skills that make up for shortcomings elsewhere and can bring short term results that keep the GM and coach from getting fired they will try it. if it works for a while - great! If key players get hurt - hey it's out of my control. It takes a couple of years to build a line and get them to play as a unit and most coaches don't get the kind of time needed to build a cohesive team unless they have already built an iron clad reputation winning championships. If they go with a so-so QB while in the process of building the rest of the offense, the fans drop away complaining that the team doesn't want to invest in the right talent.

I'm in the camp that says give me a QB that looks to pass ahead of even the most talented running QBs. You have to be able to spread the field deep and wide to make consistent headway against a good professional defense. A running QB will buy you some wins against lesser defenses, but not against consistently good ones. You could still possibly win championships with one if your own defense is world class, but otherwise it seems to be very hard.

Lamar Jackson can't and he's probably the best of the running QB's

Can't speak for other cities, but here in Chicago, bear fans bitch alot (for good reason). However, they keep coming out to the games.
I'm no FB expert but I'd bet the avg NFL fan could name close to a dozen QBs in the league and maybe 2 left tackles.
There's a good reason why quality left tackles are usually in the top 5 paid on the team.

They only go as an excuse to eat like pigs and get shitfaced. Why else would any sane person go out in -10 temps to watch a bunch of guys work?
I always said,” the day Tom Brady comes to my house on his day off to watch me snowblow the driveway in -10 temps… then we’ll talk about me going outside to his place to watch him work.”

Die hard faithful fans of losing franchises year after year are loyal to say the least. An argument could be made that boycotting losing franchises would put pressure on these teams to put a better product on the field.

I laugh at the "die hard fans". They'll call local sports talk radio and call the people who are critical of the team "not real fans", Lol. Who pays for inferior product? I'm a Sylvester Stallone fan. When he made Rocky and Rambo I was there. When he made "Rhinestone" and "Stop or My mom Will Shoot" I didn't waste my money. Guess I'm not a real fan.
I tend to believe the die hard fans have nothing else in their life. Being a fan is it.

We went to see Tom Brady play the Bucs when he was still with the Patriots a few years ago here in Tampa. It was a night game.

Also, my wife’s boss has season tickets for the Bucs and gave her tickets for the first game of the season a few years ago against the Panthers. Early September is pretty hot here in Florida.

It was a 4:00 game and his seats are on the wrong side as far as the sun goes. Lol

It wasn’t long into the game before we started sweating like race horses and went back into the area behind the seats that had large screen TVs and air conditioning. Watched the rest of the game in comfort. Lol

GAME TIME!!! It's a party hobby for some people. They enjoy the outing.

Sneakylong Get back to me when he wins a Super Bowl, or even gets there. And he's had one of the NFL's best defenses for most of his career. Lamar's playoff rating? 68.3 which is absolutely terrible, 3 TD's and 5 INTs and a 1-3 record. And they were likely favored in all those games.

Lamar is one of the few that I"ve seen that is actually a very capable passer, but Baltimore hasn't really created an offense that allows him to do both well. I'd put Jalen Hurts in that category as well, but Philly seems to be trying to mix and balance things with him and have sought high profile receivers to work into the offense. We'll see how it goes. Jackson, despite his street thug act, has a much better understanding of the game than most people think, I just don't think Baltimore wants to spend the money to bring in known receiver talent and so they're going to have to develop what they have to move any further forward.
