Par4QC Nice that Tom stepped up in the interview and said what we were saying here, about how bad his passing was early on.
Yeah, the offense hasn't produced like last year. Nowhere near. Heard someone say this morning that Ryan Jensen's (center) loss was huge.
Jensen retired last year, but unretired after Brady unretired. Then was hurt in a freak accident (torn knee) without pads in a preseason practice.
It seems Brady doesn't have the confidence to step up in the pocket like when Jensen is in there. Plus, Ali Marpet (pro bowl left guard) retired and guard Alex Cappa signed with Cincinnati. Then there's no Gronk.
Steve Young last night said he's still impressed with watching Brady throw before the game. So his passing skills haven't diminished that much if any.
But still they simply aren't the same team on offense. On paper it may look similar, but we can't downplay the importance of a good offensive line to any QB.
Bottom line is they should win their division which means they'll host a playoff game in Tampa. Once you get in the tournament anything can happen.
But so far there's no reason to believe they'll go anywhere given their offensive performance so far this season.
