This comment brings up an OLD memory. From 1957 to 1960, my Dad was stationed at Hickam AFB in Honolulu, Hawaii. We lived on base. I remember my Dad taking me to a golf course - can't remember if it was at Hickam or Pearl Harbor, but James Garner made a celebrity appearance (he was known then for his role in the show Maverick). Being only 6 or 7 years old, I don't remember his swing, but I do remember my Dad being excited about seeing him hit balls.
