Maltby KE4 TC driver screw stripped

I stripped the screw on my fairly new Maltby KE4 TC driver. I have extra screws from the additional adapters I purchased. Is it difficult to change the screw? I did it with a Cobra and lost a few of the rubber washers inside the head. I could send it back, but I put hot melt in and did it surprisingly well.

Did you strip the weight screw or adapter screw?

I’d drill the head of the screw off. Then it will pull through and you can grab the end with a regular pair of pliers or it might even unscrew with your fingers. It won’t have any load on the screw once the head is gone.

colej Thanks! Does the Maltby have an opening into the head by the hosel like Cobras do or are they closed like a fixed hosel head?

If I remember right they’re closed

colej I was able to get the adapter screw out even though it was stripped. It takes a ton of effort to get the screw to click. Because of that I also stripped the next adapter screw I used. I am going to have to get in touch with Golfworks. Also, the inside of the hosel is wide open into the head (I realized after I couldn’t find the rubber ring that holds the screw in place.

Maybe your torque wrench is bad? It shouldn’t take a ton of effort.

colej It’s easily twice as hard as getting my FlyZ to click. I did try to use the Maltby wrench with my Cobra F6 and it wouldn’t work. I’ll bring the possibility of the wrench with them also. Thanks for the suggestion!
