I've always set the adjustable adapter to the highest loft, which as he explains helps in closing the face. I tend to open the face more in my backswing like many high functioning hackers.
Before adjustable hosels I played Cobra woods (think the SZ line circa 2003). They set up closed at address and made it easier to hit the ball straighter and even draw the ball for me.
He didn't get into how moveable or fixed weights help with a draw or fade. Moving the weight towards the heel helps the face want to close more and by moving the center of gravity towards the heel you are essentially making more of the face have more right to left gear effect. Basically making the face have a slightly larger toe area.
Just the opposite by moving the weight to the tow side giving the club more fade bias with the face wanting to open more and more heel side left to right gear effect. And again, making the face have a slightly larger heel area.
Of course all of this can be overridden by the golfer. lol I can hit a draw with an open faced driver by rotating my forearms more thru impact, but having the added help with weight and face angle bias does make it easier.
I always laugh when a hacker who slices the ball says I hate closed face looking drivers. To misquote Jack Nicholson from A Few Good Men: You want that face closed, you need that face closed!!! 🤣 Or Alec Baldwin from Glengarry Glen Ross: Always be Closing!!! 😂
