Maltby TSW DRM Forged Wedges

Looking for 1st hand experience with this Maltby wedge. Love the look.
What set up/shafts are you using ? 56* specifically. Thanks for any current input.

I love the look too! Unfortunately I have zero experience with the DRM finish, or the 56°, but, prior to injury, used the regular TSW (all specs aside from finish are the same) in 54° and 60° for over a season. The only switch I would ever consider making at this time would be to try the DRM version.

My setup for the TSW is with the Nippon Pro Modus 3 Tour 105x, to match all my irons.

Thanks. I’m mostly concerned with pitching and chipping/ turf interaction etc. I doubt I’ll use it much for sand play, but maybe. 😉

Got the 52 degree with the maltby pro series shaft - reg flex. Still dialing it in but the sole makes it easy to hit high or low shots.
So far so good. Big fan the pro series shaft, got it in my sti2 irons as well. Very sturdy with good feel shaft.

Is that confirmed or assumed from the picture (which could be an optical illusion from lighting and a slight angle difference)?

The sole design blurb on both are identical.

The main reason I'm asking is - I don't want it to be so. I like the TSW!

I guess this gives me a second reason to order one ... I don't trust those pictures.😉 I think I would need to have them in hand. Though I admit they do look different, but different angles and lighting can certainly do that. The TSW sole looks a lot more rounded compared to the sharpness of the TSW(DRM). Then again, even the channel running across the back looks deeper/sharper on the TSW(DRM). I'll try to post the question to Britt on the Clubmaker's forum later.

I was about say that the grinds probably look slightly different because of the way the finish shines in the photo lighting. Wouldn't make sense in manufacturing to create a different grind in the available finishes......to me, anyway.

Or get a raw finish wedge and grind away to your heart's content. 😁
