There are a few of us that do watch the prices we pay for those components/OEMs though. I used to build a ton of drivers, in fact, one Feb. I was sitting here looking at 40 new ones in the rack; some name brand components, some clones actually. By the end of Mar., I was able to move all of them, even for a little profit. Those are about the only ones I never got to try out. The others I have built, I may have only hit a time or 2, then moved them. Again, at a small profit. I don't do it any more as the market totally crashed along those lines. I found I could hit just about any loft, with any shaft & flex, as well as the next one. I settled on what I wanted and needed, and have almost completely quit with the building/experimenting. I've bought a few(very few) OEM drivers, when they hovered around $100, but they were/are never as good as what I could build for myself. Even when I found a good one, I could still do for myself equally or better. At that, I have been able to pass them along without loss. Lucky me. A couple I've given to Jake, my grandson for use.
I don't think I'm behind at all, in the building game of drivers, but at this stage of life/game, I'll not spend the kind of money on any driver or fitting that others might. I cannot afford it, do not need it, nor do I want it.
