sdandrea1 I know this is an old thread, but I just rediscovered it. I'm interested in this comment that Steve made: DO NOT USE THEM IN WET WEATHER. THEY ARE WORTHLESS WITH THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF MOISTURE. A PIG COATED IN CRISCO WOULD BE EASIER TO HOLD.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is this true of all rubber-type wrapped grips, as is suggested further down in the thread? I have an iron I built from an extra shaft I had around in the weight I wanted, and it happened to have a rubberized, wrap-style grip from Golf Pride on it. I love the feel of it, so I was thinking about buying the midsize Star Grips of this style. Now I'm having second thoughts. It's not like I play in the rain very often, but every once in a while you get "caught."
