Saw a used Ping G410 in the bin at a golf shop and I so had to fight off the impulse purchase, it looked so good.

I have a Ping G400 SFT 7 wood to match my 3 & 5. The SFT models are higher lofted. The 7 wood is 22 degrees and you can turn it up or down 1 degree. It alternates with my Cobra 4 hybrid.

I find Ping fairway woods easier to hit off the deck with their low profile.

The Maltby M890 5w is spec'd like most modern 7w at 20°-just add a heavier weight and cut it to 41.5" or 42" and you have a very nice sounding, high launching easy to hit 7w. I set one up at 41.5" and like it a lot so far. Its going in my set at my sons house so I'll get lots of playing with it in the next few weeks.

I've never had a 7-wood.i don't even know what club it would replace.
I'm currently gaming a TM V-steel 3-wood. I love it.
I very recently bought a 5-wood. Went to the golf store to get a glove. Never used one before so I wanted to ask somebody a few questions. Everybody was busy so I started to look around. Found a Tour Edge Exotics 5-wood in the used bin, labelled $19.95. It had a brand new $12 grip on it. It was a no-brainer to bring that thing home with me.
