HybridWood azgreg Currently playing the Top Flite Hammer Control in yellow. I'm two generations behind you with the same ball. ๐ On my last box of Top Flite D2 Feel, then I have 4 boxes of the D2+ Feel in the wings.
Sneakylong Srixon Soft Feel. Currently playing the green ball. $19.99 a dozen. It has a 60 compression.
sdandrea1 Sneakylong Srixon Soft Feel. Currently playing the green ball. $19.99 a dozen. It has a 60 compression. I got a box of yellow on the birthday. I like these too.
johnnydoom Callaway Chrome Soft is my favorite ball. The ball I usually play is some sort of mid-price 3-piece ball like the Srixon Q-Star Tour or similar from other brands.
Rickochet At the end of last year my three favs were the Snell, Volvik Vivid and Titleist Tour soft. I kept those and gave dozens of others to the grand kids. Now this spring nothing feels good. I tried some Vice Drive yesterday and they seemed really short in distance. Looks like I am searching for a new ball also.
raggmann54 The Maxfli SoftFli in matte green seems to work best for my swing, I mean lunge, at the ball....
colej meagain I bought some of the TaylorMade tour response balls and theyโre not near as good as the TP5X
garyt1957 meagain Me too, and they really shouldn't fit me, but they're long and then of course have good greenside spin. In true Buzz fashion I'd never buy them at full price. I got some used or play what I find.
HybridWood Rickochet Greg posted above - the Hammer Control. sdandrea1 Top Flite's latest 2-piece soft cover ball- whatever it's called at the current time Ding ding!
sdandrea1 Top Flite's latest 2-piece soft cover ball- whatever it's called at the current time, and Precept Laddie or Laddie Extreme if you can find them.
Rickochet HybridWood On my last box of Top Flite D2 Feel After the XL2000 I liked the D2 Distance, then the Freak. I don't like a TopRock or too soft. I like a ball with a little crisp feel off of the putter. I see the Hammer Control and the Hammer Distance. The description seems the same for both.
Par4QC Rickochet The Gamer is still The Gamer, just a different logo. And they still fly and putt great. I bought a few dozen like new Titleist TruFeel balls a few weeks ago. These things are great! Long off the tee, fw shots the same. Putt very well. If you can spin a ball, it will spin(I drop/stop mostly).
Typhoon Iโm a little odd with this. Just about anything that feels soft off the irons works for me. That being said, in my bag there are TP5 and 5x, Titleist prov1, prov1 x, AVX, Callaway chrome soft, Pinnacle Soft
Par4QC Typhoon When they had that sale a few weeks ago, I did buy 4 dozen ProV1 & 1x. How well and long I can hit the ProV1x is scary....... with the fact they are almost $60/dozen. But damn, do those things fly and roll forever. Longest balls I've hit this season. You need to try Kelly's balls. Very nice!!
scotts33 sdandrea1 Sneakylong Srixon Soft Feel. Currently playing the green ball. $19.99 a dozen. It has a 60 compression. I got a box of yellow on the birthday. I like these too. Underrated ball. Good for those with geezer SS and don't care about a urethane cover. Cally SuperSoft 2021 version 38 compression. I get the feel of the Cally SS spins a bit more off the driver than the Srixon Soft Feel both come in gloss yellow. After the 2019 MGS study with robot testing on matte balls having wonky spin numbers in wet conditions with wedge shots I stopped using matte balls. We are in a wet period now.
Walterjn Par4QC You need to try Kelly's balls. Very nice!! That just sounds kinda wrong for some reason, Rex. ๐คฃ๐๐คฃ

Sneakylong scotts33 After the 2019 MGS study with robot testing on matte balls having wonky spin numbers in wet conditions with wedge shots I stopped using matte balls. We are in a wet period now. I saw that on My Golf Spy. But I don't notice any difference. If it's too wet we allow wiping the ball off. ๐ The biggest issue with matte balls is they get dirtier more easily. I found a Srixon Q Star Tour ball that was half red and half yellow. I liked it. It was funky looking spinning in the air.
