Par4QC DonM I've got 1 here; it is 48x7x7, full 7, not the USPS 6.25" 7. They do round up, so always keep that in mind.
Par4QC colej IF you do ship a lot of shafts, here's what I have.... I tried to find bulk 2" tubes but they are outrageously priced now, for some reason. Buy a bunch of the pool 'noodles'; cut them in 3-4" sections and put the shaft inside 3 of them. The box won't crush. Shipping is under 1# for 1-2 shafts.
ptjn1201 If you have the time and energy, cut the box in half the long way and fold it into a triangle. This will help keep a shaft shipment under a pound, which you could send first class if you wanted.
Taki27 colej Jeff, just saw this. Let me know what you wound up paying for shipping and I will send you payment for it. No way you should be stuck paying something so ridiculous.
Rickochet Sparky I suggest PVC piping to ship shafts! Lowe's has a 1" pipe that is around $5, but you can cut it and use for 2 shafts. Note, there is a thick 1" pipe and a thin 1" pipe. The thin version has a big enough ID for a gripped shaft, and is very light. Heck of a lot sturdier than a box too. I ordered 5 shafts a few months ago. They came in a cardboard tube inside a square box. They were the wrong shafts and asked the vendor about just shipping them back in the tube and he said they would not accept them in a tube that they had to be in a box. Can't remember if it was UPS or USPS.
Sparky Rickochet Can't remember if it was UPS or USPS. I ship PVC via USPS. They usually come out under 1 lb, so UPS or Fedex would be much more $. I have never used UPS or Fedex for PVC shipping.
Rickochet colej What pisses me off is this is their box. It came to me from golfworks and you know they didn’t pay $34 to ship it to me. I returned a fairway wood to Cally Preowned and bought the shipping label from them. It cost me $3.96 to send back UPS to Austin, TX from KY and it got there in two days.
garyt1957 Bravopilot I received two in a cardboard tube via USPS last week They came in good shape I hope? I forgot all about it until I read this thread.
rynobucket If that is a triangular box, you need to select non-rectangular, then enter the length, width, height, and girth (48 x 7 x 6 x 21). It comes out to about $10 for me.
