north-bc Is there a non permanent solution to building up grips to a jumbomax size without actually buying the jumbomax? I was thinking of a wrap of some kind? Todd
sdandrea1 north-bc That's a LOT of buildup tape! Those things are huge. I don't think you can get there with tape.
KCee Normally you would put layers of tape on the shaft and then install the grip, but are you talking about some sort of wrap going over an existing grip?
fatshot azgreg BUT....Bubba is probably NOT the one installing those 10 wraps of tape!!! How long would that take to install ten wraps of tape to a whole set of clubs???????
Walterjn Look into some vet wrap, most feed stores or tractor supply should have it. Stuff sticks to itself, and can be used to wrap just about anything, I've used it on the barn pit bike hand grips. If you have ever given blood and they wrap that little coloured elastic around your arm, you have seen the smaller human version of vet wrap. Might be an inexpensive way to get to jumbomax size for a trial... https://www.chewy.com/3m-vetrap-horse-bandage-4-in/dp/159911?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=hg&utm_content=3M&utm_term=
Bravopilot Walterjn Looks the same as athletic tape--found many places. I wrap it around my right ring finger to prevent blisters. Should work on a club.
north-bc Sorry for not being more clear. I was looking at putting some kind of wrap over my existing grips to build them up instead of buying a jumbomax
MartinD It might be worth looking at tennis/squash racquet tape - not something I'm too familiar with, but it seems like something that would build up the grip while still giving a decent level of traction.

Yep. I've used the tennis racket grip wrap and it in an inexpensive way to test larger grips and tacky too.
