My wife and I were at a Walmart this past Tuesday. We had a very full cart (we estimated around a $400 bill). When we got to the checkout area, the last human checkout was just finishing up checking out someone and had a sign indicating that the checkout line was closed. I was just after 6 PM. We looked around and all that were open were the self checkouts. We refused to use them and left our very full cart sitting in the isle to one of the sometimes manned checkout counters. Let them restock all of those products. It pains me to support a company that is too cheap to actually have human employees. I just won't do it. We went down the block to a HyVee store for our groceries. Their moto is, "A helpful smile in every isle." They are employee owned and if you ask where to find something, rather than telling you it's in isle 3, they insist on actually taking you to where the item is located. They are growing fast and it's easy to see why.
