Which event will he first make the cut in 17?

Provisional Gunga Galunga

No kidding.

I think he might be done for the season and might as well be done for good.

His back might be hurting but he really lack the motivation to get out there to bring home the bacon so to speak. He has too much cushion to fall back on, it's only human nature.

If he continue to "believe " he is still the number one player and could not face the fact that he needs to work really hard to get back up on his feet , with the humiliation of not half of what he's been. azgreg's picture of the fork is probably saying everything.

Is Taylormade feeling stupid? Does anyone know what they paid Tiger to store their clubs in his bag and not be played? Hopefully some contingencies like "If you miss every cut or withdraw and never return you're not getting money."

Greg nailed it with the fork...........

Spuzz

Gee Spuzz his agent said it was back spasms and that Woods could not make a full turn. You have to realize Tiger would not say he was embarrassed with his less than stellar play. All kidding aside while many are happily poking fun at Tiger I think it a shame that one of one greatest players of all time is struggling to just start and finish a tournament much less be competitive in it. I for one will miss watching him as he was one of the few on Tour that I enjoyed seeing play.

    Shame, maybe.
Some humility on his part would certainly go a long way.
Every time he mentions his not winning (as he has the last two weeks) it's an insult to every guy in the field he finishes behind, especially those at the top, because everyone but him can see he sucks ass right now.

Yes, aside from watching the magical final round of the 86' Master. T.W. has that magic making us glued to the TV screen.

Seems there are three potential scenarios here.

    1) Tiger's back is fine... he's using that as an excuse if he doesn't get off to a reasonable start and has little chance to make the cut.

    2) Tiger's back is fine. The 14-hr flight over left him stiff, then he slept on a different mattress at the resort where he's staying. Just an isolated situation that most likely had nothing to do with his previous back issues.

    3) Tiger's back is not good. 7 rounds back from 2 back surgeries and a near 2-year hiatus and he's already having to WD from only his second official event of this season. It is becoming quite obvious that his back is so problematic that he can no longer tolerate more than a recreational level of golf.

I'm leaning more toward scenario three. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that his back was bothering him at Torrey last week but still tried to play through it.

If he withdraws from playing Riviera in two weeks, then it's not just spasms.

I don't expect him to retire any time soon, because he's still very much entangled with appearance fees, endorsement contracts, etc. not to mention how all of this ties into him continuing to develop and build his TGR brand.

As long as he can keep his name out in the forefront with the media, he loses very little of that needed exposure.

I watched the tournament last week and saw how he was set up and hit some God awful shots.

This week all I really needed to do was watch his opening hole and I said to myself, " he is fucked up right now". I watched that one hole and went to bed. It was like watching my friends play a hole.

I think his aim/setup are incorrect and his compensations cause him to play " army golf". He'll set up for a fade and thenbistead of setting up for it and taking a normal swing, he tries to put a fade swing on it like he's doing it from a normal set up. He's either going to double cross and go left or hit a push fade.

Putting...let's find a GIR first then work on the putting.

Just my opinions...but I hang around a lot of horseshit golfers so I see alot

He did fly commercial, due to all the airport protests; could not get to his own jet. Certainly could be something in that.

This, for one thing, is something that has to happen.

And, imo, if it does happen, he would/should feel more relieved and possibly find himself playing better. IF, he ever tees it up again Professionally!! As a lot of people have been saying all along, something mental.
Hey, you're a wreck, get over it and enjoy the game, or get the fuck out. There is no in between.

I think the same "advice" should extend to the media. They're ultimately the whores riding him to the very last gallop, trying to squeeze out every last ounce of mileage from the horse that carried them all these years.

If they're serious about assuming that Tiger either needs to shite or get off the pot, then it stands to reason that they should not continue their 24/7 Tiger bullshit until he at least produces a gaseous fart, or even a mere fizzle.

They perpetuate this bullshit. And they're getting upset because he's not living up to their expectations, and now they don't want to own it?

        Hah! Nice try.

Stop talking about him 24/7, that fixes that.
