We had about 2 inches overnight. But the driveway was evidently still warm enough that there was only an
inch of slushy snow on that. So, I bundled up (and much to my wife's dismay!) went out and pushed the slush off the driveway and sidewalks. Had to get out there early b/c the temp was 35 when I got up, but it's supposed to keep
falling throughout the day.....teens overnight. Hope this isn't a preview of things to come.....!! ☹

Cold. Snow covered/packed. 20+ mph winds all night made for great Sunday a.m. fun removing snow. Drifted the whole length of my driveway.
Kids did come over and we got 'er done! 👍

Reports are only 10". But, that is at the airport where it is flat/open. Never a true measure of what we get in neighborhoods. Esp. when our elevation is a lot higher than the airport. Looking across at the neighbor's drive as they are blowing/clearing, it looks like we got maybe 16" right here.

Typhoon If there was some way to preserve it out there, I would bet this snowfall will be on the ground til at least March.
Forecasts do not show any 'signs' for fast melting.

Bravopilot Can't be bothered with such a thing. Already busy working on heated snow shovel handles.

Quite cold and cloudy with a chance of mixed precipitation. Sucks. Not the white death you folks up north are dealing with, but miserable enough to squash any enjoyable outdoor activities. Guess I’ll try to get some more leaf collecting for the compost bin before it rains/sleets/snows.

Looking at tomorrow. As usual around here we have the worst Meteorologists in the country. Every year first “storm” they have their propeller hats on with “Storm Team breaking News” 13 times in a half hour news telecast. So no different than other years…it’s gone from 6-8” to now… a coating…. Mostly rain. But a cold rain🙄🙄🤣

We must have their brothers and sisters here. Our forecast started out predicting 8'-12". By the morning when the snow started they were down to predicting 7". We actually ended up with 5"-6". It's not just the first storm of the season here though. They keep on like that for the whole winter.

Typhoon Yeah, your 'storms' out there are our typical. But they never make a fuss over the Midwest 'storms'.
