We had more than 6 inches of the heavy wet snow around my house and 3-4 inches near Cities.
Granted it's not that much comparing to other region but, we are built around hilly communities.
To be fair, they say Seattle has the worst drivers....... I disagree. Those that lived around here for awhile knows not to drive a vehicle with bald tires and two wheel drive, up or down a hilly road. Only those newly transplant into the area have issue driving in the rain and the snow.
I had seen commercial trucks driving on a 10% grade snowy road last night, just amazed at their judgement call....one caused accident and the shut down of the lanes . Some drivers with mini van ( obviously without AWD and bad traction on the tires ) spin around and could not get going once it's stopped. Some idiots trying to do a 3 point turn half way up the hill.....just park it at the curb and try to recover it later. Excuse me for say this, even those transplant from the East coast or the mid west had no clue of how to drive around here, since they probably do not have as many hilly roadways as we do here.
These are not people lived here for long, for sure. Forecasting additional 1,000,000 moving into the Puget Sound in the next 10 years.
I'm worried for tomorrow morning after it freeze over tonight.
