Interesting phenomenon. When the storm passed through last weekend, it dropped about 5" of snow followed by 3" of ices and sleet. I cleared our driveway during the snowfall several times and had it cleared just before the ice started falling. Consequently, our driveway melted pretty quickly once the sun hit the black asphalt through the ice. The snowfall, however, is piled up everywhere and SEALED with a layer of ice since the temps have been in single digits and teens all week. Most of my neighbors cannot get their driveways cleared without picks and sledgehammers. The views are spectacular day and night. Everything glistens. You can't walk on the packed snow unless it's a flat surface. Skating rink.
I do not live in these large homes, BTW.
