Par4QC Getting fairly warm out, sunny, 14 right now. But with the 20+mph wind, w/c is still -5. Only 52 days til Spring.😄 2 years ago we played on 2/7, 74*. Not crossing any fingers today.
Typhoon Par4QC 4 years ago we had a warm January and it stayed like that into February. No snow, people were trying to sneak out to play. I thought maybe we’d open in February that year. We didn’t. If we didn’t have so many members we probably would have opened.
Par4QC Typhoon We did play more than once that month. Bizarre for this area to play before late March/April. And the course was in excellent condition! Green grass and all.
professor It's too damn cold! And tomorrow will be ridiculous - minus 12! That's not the "real feel", either. I think I will stay indoors. When I first took up golf, it was 1997. January 1998 was able to play throughout January.
LBlack14 Typhoon If I didn't know better, I'd swear that we were married to the same fucking woman. If I want her to do something specific, I have to tell her exactly the opposite. She'll do any fucking thing she can possibly do, just to piss me off.
Sneakylong 32 degrees on the nature coast of Florida this morning. 🥶 But will warm up to ~ 63 later on and sunny.🌞
johnnydoom Neighborhood streets still white 5 days after the sleet started falling. Some melting today (hopefully a bunch) with temps into the 40s before dropping back to single digit lows over the next few days.
Typhoon johnnydoom our use streets like mine are still covered in snow. Gonna be wicked cold for the forseeable future as well. There is some melting because the sun angle is getting better
johnnydoom Apparently, the sun will need to work extra hard to get any melting today. Just tried to walk out of 3 different doors to go replenish the bird feeders. A hard slick crust is on top of the sleet and impossible to walk on for an unstable geezer without risking serious injury. Wishing I had a pair of metal spiked golf shoes around, but I don't anymore. Hopefully the sun will burn through it over the next few hours.
johnnydoom Par4QC The Euell Gibbons Grape Nuts ad hooked me as a youngster and based upon his advertisement I wanted them very much. After I tried them, I had admiration for the strength of Euell's teeth, but never wanted a second bowl of Grape Nuts. Even tried them again as an adult. Ate the whole box just so as to not waste food, but never again.
Par4QC johnnydoom I've only bought them a couple times as an adult. Did have them growing up. Trick is(for me) to cover with twice as much milk as cereal used. Then just wait til 'it soaks up the milk. Very surprising as to how much volume is created in a bowl doing that, will soak up all that milk! And no crunch at all. Just like Brylcreem.....a lil dab'l do ya. Why the box is so small.
