Golf course water coolers a thing of the past?

With the hotter weather coming, and a few very warm days already in the books this season here in the Northeast, I'm hearing some grumbling from some buddies...

Geezer meltdown - not good. Dehydration in senior can be serious. Our coolers have been out for a while.

Already happened last Thursday. Geezer passed out in the snack bar after golf.

This geezer gets hot easily and I go out prepared. I have a cap I can pour ice water into and shake out. I have ice pack chillers for my neck. I have a big insulated mug that fits the cup holder and I take a big insulated jug of water or gatoraid. Over prepared maybe but I'll take ridicule over a heat stroke any day. If it if forecast to be upper 80's and humid we just don't play. I also use Bionic Grip Relief gloves (both right and left) for sweaty hands and Winn DriTac LT Jumbo grips. The neck chillers really do best and bring your core temperature down quickly.

Obvious just kidding we have temps in the 99* to over 100* next week and we are taking 4 20 oz bottles of water with us to the course. We also now have cart girls coming around with refreshments.

I would trust course water coolers like I would gas station sushi. I either take my own or buy from the course.

Yes! The rescue squad came, and his wife drive out too. His vitals recovered, so she took him home. I rode in with buddies, so I took his car home. We all live in the same geezer-hood.
