Follow Steve's suggestion by using a digital caliper ( Harbor Freight has a nice one around $10 with coupons and 20% off ).
I measure the old shaft first to see the length of the tapered tip. Wrap a couple layers of masking tapes ( painter's tape ) on the .370 graphite shaft where the taper starts, this will prevent unwanted "taper" .
I also recommend doing it by hand, takes a little longer but we can't put back what we take off.
A good idea is to do the long irons first, this way if you make a mistake, you can always tip it and fit the short iron with it.
Most of all, make certain the tip of the .370 graphite shaft has enough wall to be taken down to a safe level. Some of the light weight graphite shaft has thinner wall on the tip, not recommended to make it thinner.
Like Steve said, easy peasy.
