Par4QC fatshot I, personally, would not do that. Heating, then sudden cooling, has a hardening effect. You're probably making the tip more brittle. jmo
Rickochet I use a hydraulic puller (JB Pro) that has a pre-release spring. When the epoxy releases it pushes the head about 1/2" and I then pump it off the shaft. If you use a good shafting epoxy the release temperature will be far below the temp where the shaft resin will release. A micro butane torch is my tool of choice. After I remove the head I immediately removed the old glue from the shaft tip and shaft hole while it is still warm and flexible and is much easier than letting it cool and harden. I then quickly work on the head to clean out the hosel while it is warm also.
Par4QC Everyone forgets he is shitcanning the shafts anyway. Heat them up and yank the damn things out.......twist them, bend them, wiggle them back and forth, get the fuckers out, clean the hosel, get the new ones in, play golf! Simple things in life.
Rickochet Par4QC Heat them up and yank the damn things out.......twist them, bend them, wiggle them back and forth, get the fuckers out, And do it while swearing at them. Then put the shafts on the floor and stomp them really good. Have some fun. 😛
