OK. A heat gun is safer. Especially if a painted or composite head, but takes longer.
If you have a micro/butane torch, that would be best.
You really don't need a shaft puller, you need a head pusher. One of these are economical and work well for the occasional job. Inexpensive too.
I would try to get one, but if not, it's still possible to remove a head without damage. Golfworks has/had these.
Clamp the head in the vise/clamp. Wrap the head with a damp cloth. This keeps the heat from "running away" from the hosel and makes the epoxy breakdown easier/quicker. Also helps to have the clubhead toe down in the vise.
Heat the hosel about 20-30 seconds and remove heat. You want to allow the heat to soak into the epoxy to break it down. The ferrule should warp and should be removed before proceeding. Do this a couple of times and try to push/pull the head STRAIGHT OFF. No twisting. If it doesn't move, go thru the heating process again. Repeat until you get movement. Once the epoxy breaks down, the head should slide off fairly easy.
Make sure to use proper PPE. Safety glasses and leather gloves are minimum.
I'll send a couple pics, but YouTube is full of videos if you'll look around.
Good Luck! Let us know how it goes!
