My old Jerry Pate Autograph iron set was done along with my TM Burner Plus metal wood set and I had just bought a house, so no money for fun stuff like OEM golf clubs.
I was introduced to an old clubmaking hobbiest (he was in his 80's) and he had a full set of those irons with Made in England Apollo stepless steel shafts and I hit them great. The woods had GREEN graphite shafts in them and I hit them a mile so I ignored their fugliness LOL
I got them cheap and eventually sold them real cheap to my FIL. I may get them back at some point.
This nice man also offered me a full set of Cleveland VAS irons for the same price, but I passed 😮
