Pro-v vs. Pinnacle Rush inside 75

Last night I grabbed a 60 degree wedge and went on the GCQuad. I took a pro-v and a Pinnacle Rush and hit shots from 75/30/12 yards just to compare the spin from around the green and short approaches. Here’s the results

Cool. Thanks for the detailed numbers. Just about what you might expect. Do you plan to test
these 2 on a driver ? I'm guessing that would be where the Rush might shine for Scrambles & such.

Eguller I can post what I did on the driver but it doesn't make sense. I don't know if its a swing speed thing. I was hitting the driver at about 75% and was trying to keep it at 150 mph ball speed with the Prov1 because I was comparing 3 shafts in that head so I wanted the same ball speed. I grabbed a Pinnacle Rush.... got around 5 mph more ball speed but all the numbers were crazy close and distance was 1 yard different. I'll go on my phone and post it

That's Ok...So, in your opinion, the Rush may be no longer than the ProV1 off the driver at playing speed ?
In other words, which would you grab in a scramble to hit the longest ?

It looks like maybe it doesn't matter which ball I hit. The Rush came off the face faster but didn't result in anything... and its not like you can look at the numbers and see where maybe something jumped out as being not like the other right?

Typhoon Lower launch, lower spin.... on the monitor makes it come out shorter thanmit really would, like Par said.

On another note, I wish I lived in a world where I would have to take something off in order to get to 150 mph ball speed.

With the numbers being from a 'device', your outdoor figures will show a lot of difference, in favor of the Rush, imo. If launch is lower, combined with lower spin, + longer carry, the Rush is going to go a lot farther on the ground. It would be the scramble ball to use.

I hate 'devices' numbers.

ode I have a backpack full of new prov1's so I play those. I also have a back pack of Tap5 and Chromsoft I could play. I play those because I have a ton of them... other than that I could play a range ball and be fine.

I don't think the ball makes a ton of difference in my game. I usually play something cheap. Whatever flavor of Top Flite is on sale at DSG. I played the Top Flite Bomb this week and it was a decent ball. Shot my normal scores.

A ball is a ball to me, score-wise. The Rush and Laddie go a little farther for me.
