Wishon shipping?

Somebody enlighten me on Wishon shipping. I didn't pay much attention when the move was announced cause I didn't think I'd be in the market for anything. But...

The 919thi has the bendable hosel. Can't help you on shipping.

Shipping structure is 30$ for orders less than $100;

$20 for orders 100-200$;

$10 for orders 200-300$;

And free above that.

Yes they will bend to your specs just as Wishon did when they were based out of Durango.....you get the same slip with the specs and a thanks

Be forewarned and make sure you know what is in stock and what is not....I will only order from them when what I need is all in stock, otherwise it just does not pay, backorders won't ship for free.

The shipping is quick, as advertised, but don't expect a follow up email with tracking.

Thanks for the heads up on back orders.

I will still be ordering (not onezees and twozees), once I see what is coming out for 2017. $20 for shipping I can handle.

Check eBay or amazon I am told some are dumping their inventory for cheap.

I just checked Ebay and there is no equipment being "dumped". One page.

A lot of odds and ends and especially older shafts, some pulls, which are listed at virtually their original cost.

There are several collector sets of 560 irons. A few used sets and one off iron heads ie. a 7 iron head.

Amazon, 2 sets of irons for $1,000 and 2-3 odd iron heads.

No evidence of dumping.

Yea, I'm not paying $30 to ship one head. I thought there was a limited time where they were still shipping from Co.? I guess I missed that.

garyt1957 yep....it was until the later part of Sept or Oct. [I forget which one) where they closed up shop in CO.

It's too bad really as I love their shafts and a few of their heads really perform.....would be nice to combine orders if you had someone that lived locally and could do it that way.

Yea I checked too. Only two 919's and one was a used original. The other was from a club builder but didn't sound like he'd bend it. Plus for his price I could pay the $30 shipping and still be ahead.

potbunker that's the way I look at it.....once they get through the initial change over, things should go more smoothly .....and the shipping structure is actually a good deal over 100.....heck I've paid more then 20 when they were based out of CO.

Hey, what specs are you looking for? I have a few old 919s and one new one with the bendable hosel. I hit them the same, so I'd sell you the bendable one if it fit you. It's a 9, 0.5 closed face. Looks square, but those are the specs I was given.

It's in good condition, but not mint. No sky marks, but some light abrasions at odd places on the crown. I can send you pics if you are interested. Currently mated to an Accra Tour Z ST 65 shaft in M4 flex. Plays 44".

Would sell for $80 shipped. Let me know.

I'm looking for high loft but with an open club face, hence the bendable hosel. You're not going to find a 14* driver with an open face any other way that I know about.

In talking to several other clubmakers, it sounds like many of them are going to stop pushing Wishon stuff as much due to the logistical issues with having to get everything from overseas (high shipping, possible customs delays, longer shipping time, etc). It's such a shame the whole operation had to move overseas. I would have liked to see them keep an office in the U.S. to fulfill all orders in the US & Canada, and then ship all other international orders from the UK. I guess the extra costs of having a second location solely for shipping wouldn't have been worth it, or maybe they didn't even consider it.

Jim...too expensive to warehouse in both countries but possibly a distributor in this country should have been solicited. I doubt like you said it was even considered.

The shipping was not an issue for me.....it got to me quicker than from CO or in the same amount of time.....Wishon/CO, they always had my orders packed and out quickly, even with the handpicks and bending.....it might have taken Diamond an extra day to get things out, but it still got to me quickly once out the door. Now that there is online ordering, that makes it a bit more convenient.

Shipping cost has always been high (IMO) from TWGT. He's in a remote-ish part of CO and there's probably not enough volume of sales to get a good deal with a carrier. I never understood why he couldn't offer rates like some other component supplies, so my guess is the location/volume.

Not that their shipping was ever cheap, but $30 for a single club head is still not happening for me and that was part of the appeal to Wishon. Such is life. I don't think I really care about tinkering much anymore, I do it out of necessity if I can't buy what I want, but in the era of "custom off the rack" there's isn't a ton of need.

I could get by without them, but the one thing that I'd for sure miss is the metal wood head bending service....no one else offers that, nor do I know of any other heads that are bendable. I realize adjustable/removable hosels are the thing now and make it easier to easily adjust, but I am still skeptical that they adjust as much as advertised.
