Have a 400 Max, bought a new 430 Max. Hit many balls at my own driving range. Marked the balls so I knew which driver was longest "FOR ME". Im not a big hitter but the G400 hit the longest and I liked it's looks better. Sold the as new G430 Max head and headcover and kept the shaft. Won't ever sell it.

sdandrea1 Agree 100%. The g400 max was a 10k driver or stupidly close to it but wasn’t billed as such. It’s the GOAT. I had a 420 max 10k for a couple weeks and it wasn’t even close to the 400.

candukid I would… and have. I had a 9 degree as well a while back along with the 10.5. I sold the 9….. wish I still had it even though I still have the 10.5. These things only come around once in a lifetime. I almost want to think Ping regrets coming out with that club because they still have nothing that beats it.

Not a club review but a grip review. My favorite grip of all time is the Lamkin Crossline. I used midsize using the Typhoon approved lower hand build-up method. Once those became hard to find I switched to the Golf Pride Tour Velvet +4 midsize that didn't require the Typhoon approved lower hand build-up method. I like these grips but I'm not a fan of their longevity. That brings me to another grip. I got some Super Stroke Crossline 2.0s from Nat the other day. These feel really good and the size comparison to the GP TV +4s is virtually identical. These also don't require the Typhoon approved lower hand build-up method. The only issue so far is none of the shops around me carry these yet.

I've got a set of those SS grips on my new irons, yet to be played. Feels like that gal back in high school, the one with no figure.(think it was a gal)
Also a life long user of the Lamkin CL, but have been using the GP 360 grips when I can grab them. Usually under $6. Hated the Lamkin 360....too soft/mushy.

azgreg they are a bit beefier and would not require the lower hand build up. Not a fan of the compound vs OG lamkin.....but will wait to see what they are like on course.

There are along with a PGATSS but none of them currently (as of 3 days ago) have any in stock.

I've been using the Same grip from TEMU or AliExpress and like them. The arthritis in my hands is getting somewhat worse so this year I'm trying the JumboMax JMX UltraLite in the small (+1/4) size. Tried the Medium but didn't feel "right"...So far only been to indoor golf but they seem to work/help...

I have never hit a 9 wood. Yesterday during my downtime during fittings I grabbed a 9 wood. Expected a club that goes 180-190.🙄 Carried 207, rolled to 218. 100 ‘ peak height, 2900 spin, 18.7 launch and 128 mph ball speed.

Typhoon People will change clubs. They will change grips. They will change shafts. Some will never change flexes. Most(all??) will never change how they hit the ball.
But all will complain of short results. And make excuses/place blame.
It is the way, it has been written.
Repeatedly.

I took the Callaway $700 Quantum Max Fast demo out today on a Vanquish Senior flex shaft. 10.5 loft on stock hosel settings. I tried it on 4 holes. To me, it's just another Callaway Jailbreak-era head. Feels and sounds the same as my old Paradym X head and the Elyte head. Same distance too. No longer (for me) than my Adams 9088UL. YMMV.
