Hey Steve, you know the old "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" thing......well, that's what you're doing!
The last few years at the beginning of the season, I've struggled to find my 150 club.....after I do that, I can figure out
the rest. This year, I KNEW I couldn't hit a 5 iron well enough....that ship has sailed! And the various hybrids I tried
didn't reach nearly the height I needed to hold the green. So, the 11 wood seemed to be the next option. It
gets me the height of a 9 or PW shot and the 150 I was hoping for. It seems I hit at least one GIR with it every time
out, and my group of geezers is beginning to notice (a few of them have even asked to try it!).
As Par4QC said, we have to keep trying to "beat this stupid game" if we're going to keep playing!
